This is my room where I stayed in Ghandruk, a village in the Annapurna region of Nepal. I had set off that morning from Ghorepani, and walked eight hours until I arrived here just before sunset. I didn't have any accommodation booked, and this was the most popular hotel for the sunset views. Although the hotel was fully booked, the manager invited me to stay in the storage cupboard; and this is it. Directly above the kitchen with too many floorboards missing for comfort, the smell of rice and dahl helped drift me off to sleep.
Taken from my trip to Taiwan in 2018, and my visit to a temple at Sun Moon Lake. I rented a scooter to ride around the whole lake, which took about forty-five minutes. There's a Starbucks at the main entrance to the village of the lake, and it has a wonderful view of the lake from its outdoor seating area. If you do rent a scooter, make sure to fill up with fuel before you set off. There is only one fuel station at the lake it's the entrance to the village - not too far from the Starbucks. I didn't realise this, so I drove anti-clockwise around the whole lake on almost empty, scared I was about to run out of petrol!

This is Mae Klong Railway station in Thailand, a terminus station which sees the train pass through a market. It's full of tourists, ready with their cameras to take photos of the train coming or going, much like my photo here. As the train moves through the market, stall vendors have to pull their umbrellas in so the train can pass. Once the train has passed, you can walk up and down the track, and look around the market. It's a good day trip from Bangkok, and you can combine it with the nearby Amphawa floating village.
A spot I frequented many times in Koh Samui to watch the sunset around 18:00 each day. This is taken from Bangrak Seatran Pier in the north-east of the island; many locals either come to this spot or the sunset viewpoint near the big buddha which is just next to the pier. If you wait long enough, you'll see Bangkok Airways flights with their landing gear down, in what seems touching distance, before they land at Samui airport.

Namtok Na Mueang: a waterfall in southern Koh Samui with an incredible view at the top. Get here before 09:00 and you'll have it all to yourself. It's clearly signposted from the car park, and you walk through a small local village before you start ascending. Some foreigners have died here because they wander off the path or try too hard to get that ever-perfect Instagram shot.
Riding back down towards Vientiane from Luang Prabang, on my rented Apache 150cc motorbike. I stopped just outside of Vang Vieng to get a photo of these cows crossing the road, before spending the night at Malany Villa 2. Two days before, I lost my GoPro from my bike helmet whilst riding up to Luang Prabang. I hoped I would find it on the way back down, but it remains somewhere in Laos.

Here I'm getting my suit made in Vietnam for an internship in Shanghai. I decided to get a suit made in Hoi An in central Vietnam as I had some shirts made there a few years before and really liked them. The town is a hub for chinese tourist and instagrammers all trying to capture that "she is not lost" wandering look down the city's small roads with historic yellow buildings lined either side. If you do get anything tailor made, be sure to get it a little larger in the right places so if you do put on weight when you're back home, you'll still be able to wear your tailored clothes!
